I have it installed now and have an account. Infact I used it last night.

When I click on "upgrade" in the application it launches PIE and says:

"We're sorry - download is not currently available for this device"

I am on version 1.10, there is a later version

What I did was register then download the cab file thats on this thread. It worked fine for me even thought the site said my device wasnt compatible yet

thats was me who posted the link to the other thread to dl, thats the one I have now but there is a newer version

starting to think this is bs, I don't know why they just dont post the cab like livecast, you need to sign up and be authorized anyways.

version 1.10 is the older version, there should be a newer one.

Anyone who has this, is your "upgrade" option available to you?

I just downloaded it to my Mogul. It's v. 1.1. Neat little thing, but it's got choppy video.

Why oh why am I now thinking of all the naughty places I could "accidentally" leave my phone?:scratch:

i use qik and comvu
just make sure you set your live stream settings so it's not choppy

there are other sites as well like

personally i use qik and comvu...

they work great ...
sometimes qik is a little late with the "live streaming". i have been on and it was a 5-10 min delay

comvu is cool but needs to be updated both these two have worked well with my mogul no problems at all.

the other sites i'm just now checking out... and for reviews i found this

I've seen qik videos when people were using N95's and N82's, they are actually good for live streamed imagery and with a max delay of 30 seconds (normally around 5 seconds or less).

Using my touch, got it to work, lag of about 10 seconds when I'm lucky, otherwise 30 seconds and it keeps going up till over 1 min. The video is really slow, more like frame by frame than video - and again unlike the nokia's where it was rather smooth.

Guess qik is right when they say support for the touch is in alpha.

Live web streaming WOW this is cool!

Not sure if you guys already know about www.qik.com but i just found out about it last nite. Turns any phone with a camera and data connection into a live stream webcam and its fast! Pretty cool app.

Instant post not to mention an easy URL . the time dofference between live recording and streaming is like 5- 8 secs

Same with comvu/LiveCast. Anyways, will try it out and let you know the difference.

BTW, I signed up. Havent yet received any download information. even reset my account twice. I have emailed them as well. Do you happen to ahev the cab for HTC Mogul?

I actually get the SMS but it says my device is not supported. Anyone know how to fix that or can anyone post the .cab file please?

that's what mine said to for the mogul, I downloaded the cab i posted previously and all went well.

Pros:
- much higher resolution
- faster
- easy interface

Cons:
- Cant store video locally. Comvu gives 3 options 1. save locally 2. stream 3. stream+archive

You can go to your Qik profile and download them, if you need them that bad. lol. perhaps we'll see it in a later version? but yeah it deffinatly rules!

Local download helps if you dont have a god internet connection.
