While it may not be exactly designed for billing, we have been using Jott.com at my office. I have the Jott 800 number saved to my quickdial, I call in and say "Billing" and it records and transcribes my voice message into an email that gets sent to the billing office in an email (what they do with it from there is not my concern). Couldn't be easier from my point of view and only takes about 10 seconds to track my time at each job... oh and I can do it all while driving to the next office.
You can also set up Jott to SMS people if you'd like for true hands free text messages. ... PS... did I mention it's FREE? BTW... in case anyone wonders, I am in no way affiliated with Jott... I just think it's the coolest thing ever.
