Settings > Advanced > Cache size I like to make it 22000 KB. While there, I like to UNcheck plug-ins and JavaScript because those only make advertisements function on the pages I visit, and I'm not into games, and any YouTube I watch on a separate app. After tapping the check in lower left to save those settings, go to the next step by typing "opera:config" into the URL address field, and then: Preferences Editor > Cache > Document, ECMAScript, Figure I crank each of these way up, especially Figure, because I save large animated GIFs of satelite imagery and other large pic files (so I can view them in Opera from memory, without all the ads). There are lots of other things I change. Since this build is really fast, it gets sort of jumpy fast! So I'm trying Smooth Scrolling, and so far it does seem to help without loading down RAM. Hope something here is useful to somebody, MrG |

Re: (*[Sep-26-08]* Diamond Opera 9.5 Build 2392- *Flash Working* Zoom enabled
I cannot get the flash working on this at all. I am on a Samsung i760... the redheaded stepchild of PPC's sometimes it seems! I even tried doing a hard reset, and installing ONLY Flashlite 3.1 and the latest built of Opera... still no inline videos. Not a horribly big deal... Skyfire works fantastically for browsing media/flash rich sites, and loads pages 10 times faster than Opera Mobile, but I do wish I could get Flashlite 3.1 in particular to work on my device.

Hmm, I didn't do anything, but it's my default. Maybe since it already was, that's why it still is? If it somehow became no longer my default, then I'd use my fave file browser, GS Finder plus, to assign HTML, HTM, XML, etc. file types to Opera. GSFinder+ has a number of ways to do this, or TotalCommander can do it, and there are other apps as well. Still, I like GSF+ because it's large icon mode makes file navigation easy to do one-handedly. Also, it's freeware. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/62eshh Hope this helps, MrG |
