Take a look at newscopier too, its free and from what I can tell is nearly identical to the newsbreak 1.x. Im not sure if there have been any recent updates to newscopier.

Edit:
Dont know what has been added to this version, but it is definitely newer than the previous version I had installed. The date for this one is Feb. 2007

I don't get it, Newscopier says that you download a website on your PC and then download it to your PPC and view it there... that's what I have EVDO for...

I didn't see anything about being able to see RSS feeds on it, did I miss something?

I think they may just describe it funny or something. It says it is an RSS reader on the other description page (not the one I originally linked to):

They may have changed something, but I never had to do an activesync type thing to get it to update, it would do it all via EVDO. I guess I should give this latest version a try before I keep recommending it to people.

Anyone know why this program closes itself after a while? I have iLauncher as my task manager, but I don't use the real OK button. Just in case I also set the task manager to only minimize this application and not close.

Then, I minimize the app and I can see it under running apps... and during this time I'm getting updates... so all is good.

But after time passes I see my new headlines have not updated and I know there had to be news since I last checked. When I go to check running apps, NewsBreak is gone and I have to start it again.

It's kind of annoying...

Is it installed on your storage card? I think there is an issue with programs closing on their own if installed to the storage card. I remember this issue popping up with pocket informant.

Yeah I have it on the SD card. I guess that's the culprit, I've never installed on the SD card, but I'm really running out of space so this seemed like the perfect program to have on the card.

When I run SK Tools it asks me if I want to delete Program Files\Newsbreak\Channels.bak

From the extension, it just seems to be a backup... anyone know if it's safe to erase? Is this a temp file?
