Little Memory Programs?

I want my phone to be able to do more than one thing at a time. See as my phone is a Mogul. It is kind of difficult. So I've created a list of applications and how much memory they use. So you can get an idea of how much you can do with your phone.

Internet Browsers
This is with no files on the device, and with no other programs running or installed. With google.com loaded on the browser.

MiniMo 0.2
Free Before: 21.91mb
Free After: 8.05mb

Opera 9.5 build 1409
Free Before: 21.01mb
Free After: 15.57mb

PIE - Internet Explorer
Free Before: 21.01mb
Free After: 19.82mb

SkyFire
Free Before: 20.71mb
Free After: 11.73mb

Instant Messengers
This is with no files on the device, and with no other programs running or installed. Only logged onto MSN Messenger.

IMPlus
Free Before: 20.78mb
Free After: 19.57mb

JiveTalk
Free Before: 20.66mb
Free After: 15.62mb

Palringo
Free Before: 20.66mb
Free After: 20.30mb (it barely uses any memory, i would think that it would use the most.)

There are still more browsers, media/mp3 players, and instant messangers to come.

Re: Little Memory Programs?

You really want to know about some software and your only qualification is that it takes up very little memory? That is quite a list my friend.

Re: Little Memory Programs?

I hate when people post up crap. WHY ARE YOU GOING TO ASK A QUESTION TO MY QUESTION?! if I could give you a "Not Thanks" I would.

I guess I will just do this myself. I thought there would be some savior that would give me an amazing list. But I guess it doesn't always happen like that.

Please don't close or lock this thread. Im going to update it with some useful stuff.

Re: Little Memory Programs?

I am guessing that you are asking what's a low memory requirement program for browsing and contacts and notes, etc.
I use the MS programs for notes, contacts, tasks, appointments, etc. but for program and memory management I use WkTasks. It has a very small footprint.

Not 100% sure but a few good programs seem to eat up memory in a big way. I do not use MS Voice Command and S2U2 because of this. I'm sure there are many programs that are very good but use a lot of memory.

I've also used No2Chem's program to unlock the extended ROM and loaded a few programs in that area. I've got 2 or 3 programs in that area.

And finally, you will need a program to recoup lost memory. I've been using Oxios programs but I just recently read that they may create memory problems. I have not had problems with it but who knows what's happening inside the phone?!?!

Hope this helps,
tsp
