Re: Recommendation on Reg Editors
This has been discussed a lot around here. And their is a nice list of reg editors in the thread linked below along with other great software to check out. The best one is the one that works best for you, and at the price you can afford.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17859 Will move to the Software Forum where this belongs, and you may get some more users to chime in.

Re: Recommendation on Reg Editors
I pretty much found Resco the easiest to use and get used to, I used a couple when I first started on my 700wx including PMH, but for some reason even being totally new to reg editors, and PPC usage in general, Resco seemed very easy to figure out and get to where I needed to go. It does cost, but if you plan on getting into your registry a lot, very much worth the investment. (Plus the Today plug-in is pretty useful)

Re: Recommendation on Reg Editors
I agree 100% with syrguy. I have used at least three or four others, some free and some not, and I have settled into Resco and not looked back since. The file explorer is very nice, the registry editor is easy to use and find what you are looking for, and I also use the FTP plugin from time to time.
