App/registry to prevent auto idle locking

Hi my device enforces a group policy that it will lock after 15 min of inactivity. I want to use it for GPS mapping, but it becomes very inconvenient when it brings me to the locked screen every 15 minutes. Are there any way to prevent it from doing that? perhaps an app that does something to simulate human interaction every 10 minutes?
