Can I make the PPC look like a memory stick to a PC?

I've got my XV6800 synching ok with my work PC, but occasionally I'd like to just hook up to a different computer and transfer a file or ten.

Is there any kind of app/plugin that will make the PPC look like a "plain old" jump drive or memory stick to any computer?

All suggestions appreciated.

http://www.softick.com/pocket-pc/cardexport2/

Only works with the memory card tho, not the built in memory.

WOW that is a lot faster than using ActiveSync to copy files across.

Copied movie 220MB in 4mins compared with closer to 20mins. (If you try it - disable USB Connections in Activesync so it doesn't get in the way)

How about an SD to USB card reader. U don't need to install that software to all the pc's u need to transfer the file to and from.

Re: Can I make the PPC look like a memory stick to a PC?

Hi,

I like this idea, but is it possible to install something only to the PPC to make it 'look' like a memory stick?
I cary music on my htc touch micro sd and it's a pain to take the card out and use a usb converter, I want to plug it into my car as my head unit has a usb slot.
I tried hooking the touch straight to the usb in the car but it doesn't work.

I tried hooking my little external hard drive up to the usb and that's the same... but that's a problem for the car audio boys...

Great forum and info chaps. =D>

I agree, wm5torage works great. But why search?

This function is also built into no2chem's roms. I used to use wm5storage, but it doesn't work on his current roms.

Very true, and I am running no2chem's rom now. But since alex_jb is new here I assumed that teling him to flash a new rom was a little early in the game...

Re: Can I make the PPC look like a memory stick to a PC?

Any advice on the best SD card syncing app? I'm using SyncToy 2 beta right now with my own custom autorun handler. The advantage is that there's no extra app running in the background eating ram, the disadvantage is that the command window pops up (since it was just macgyvered for now). I'm planning to make an autorun handler that will run minimized later today unless I can find a smoother alternative.
