If it is a custom rom use pim backup to backup appointments contacts etc. Then reflash the rom. As for your apps, I keep a folder on my cpu labeled ppc stuff and guess what i keep in there.

Re: Boner of a problem

most of my programs are on a specific folder on the CF Card. But there are some that require other programs to work that have to be on the device, and some of them I don't remember. I'd hate to have to run through every program and check as I have a TON, or so it seems. I have thought about this more than once as I also have an issue with my PIE, but that's even less of an issue. I just am avoiding the hard reset and manual reinstallation if at all possible lol.

Tell us what PDA you have and what you have done to it, will give us a better idea what your problem is.

It sounds like your poutlook file in your /Windows folder has been deleted. A hard reset is probably where you'll end up, unfortunately.

And can we try not to make this thread a spam-fest? Not sure why you chose the word boner but try not to do that next time :) LOL

check if you have a tmail.exe in windows folder. try clicking it.. what happens? it should open mail inbox,. if it doesn't try restoring just that executable..

I THINK I found the problem... A .dll that isn't there after a hard reset but is after the restore. It can't be deleted so I'm clueless except doing everything over. Any other ideas?

Re: Boner of a problem

the only other thing i can suggest is make a rom of your current phone, cook a new rom of your setup and just update the tmail.exe application and 2 other mail dll. you never told me about the tmail app... it doesn't launch with no error?

install the new cooked rom and give it a shot.. what else you have to lose?
