advanced notifications?

Does an application or multiple applications exist that would allow me to expand upon the included notification options?

I would like to be able to have certain sms messages ring my phone, while others not.

If this functionality could be extended to emails as well that would be even better.

criteria i would be like to look at are sender or message body.

thanks

Re: advanced notifications?

you can use magicall ( http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html ) to launch an application based on the sms sender. the application that magicall runs could be a mortscript which is written to play a certain wav file or such.

plus magicall is just plum awesome in screening your phone calls!

example of mortscript

#playsound based on sms sender
PlaySound("\Windows\bingbong.wav")
exit
