HTC SmartDialer ruinned my phone... HELP PLEASE

I saw this smart dialer application in this fourm and someone attached it to one of the messages. Matter of fact it was in the no2chem rom thread and they were talkin about smart dialer. anyways i figured i would try it out had no clue what it was installed the cab file on my phone to my storage card. once i did this when i go to dial a number using my phone the screen is completely white. I have soft reset tried to remove it in settings\remove. i deleted the cab file. what am i doing wrong or how can i get rid of it. my phone was perfect before now. HELP please!!!

well im not quite sure what it is either, but when it has something to do with the phone, like a dialer or anything that isnt really a 3rd party application. your best bet is to install it to the phone instead of your card. hopefully you can go back and try to install it there. i hope i helped you figure it out

so try to reintall it except this time to my phone... anyways what is this smart dialer app. i just wanted to try it out so i dl it never would of thought it woulda messed up my dialer this bad

well again, i dont know what it is, i dont think i need it though, but i would certainly try to install it to your device and see if that helps out. after you uninstall it from your sd card of course :-p

Go into Schaps Advanced Utility then Disable Phoneskin... Should fix dialer.

Woooh no need to panic.


HTC smart dialer is the app that suggests contacts while dialing the numbers.

If you had the original dialer pad then you probably already had it.

You might have some luck if you install a dialer pad skin to the device as well as the smartdialer.cab. I would assume that the smartdialer.cab didnt include any skins for the dialer leaving it white but it did overwrite the original. If you get what I mean.

Try this skin. Its the basic one from the touch that would include smartdial. So Im pretty sure you wouldnt even need to install the smartdialer.cab. Just make sure you uninstall from the sd card first (might still have the messed up dialer, dont worry)

If you cant get that to work it might be easier backing everything up and hard resetting. If that dont work with the other dialer Ill point you in the direction of some programs for that.

I never even see my roaming icon so Im not even sure what it supposed to look like. lol

Sorry. I got wisbar advance3 it skins everything like in the pic. Glad the other thing worked though.

If you could give me more info Ill try and help more.
