Re: Countdown software that will ring in "standby"
Well I was gonna suggest SPB Time...but it sounds like that didn't work out for you.
Try this. late, Coz

Re: Countdown software that will ring in "standby"
SPB time works if it's quickly, I set it for 5 minuts and the only thing it does is pop the screen up with the alarm. I hear no sounds, feel no vibrate.
As for that ap, the reviews state exactly the same problem I was having with SPB time. Just as an FYI, when I went to do the last test on SPB time, I could see the timer on in the background. Going to close it, THEN the alarm went off. Tres weird. |

Edit: If that doesn't work, there is a registry setting to fix it. I use those timers and they work for me. I'll just have to look up that edit when I get to my laptop later...

Re: Countdown software that will ring in "standby"
I did a check, and it is set not to go into sleep mode.
and like i said, it does pop up on the screen, the alarm just doesn't go off properly until i load it fully up and "turn off" sleep mode. so in a way, it does work, just not in the alrn side of things. |

THAT WORKED!!!! Thank you. Perfect, perfect! One thing that sucks - It does NOT work on Vibrate only mode. Bew, no vibrate. D'oh. Last edited by andsoitgoes; 05-13-2008 at 02:03 PM. |

Re: Countdown software that will ring in "standby"
You should try enAlarmPPC. Do a search for it and it will come up. I use it as a replacement to the built in WM Alarm as it allows the use of MP3's instead of the standard sound files. It also worked for me prior to the updated 6800 ROM when the time and alarm wouldn't update properly while in sleep mode.
Back to the point ... it works as both a standard alarm (much like your bedside alarm) and as a timer. You can set it for any number of hours/minutes instead of setting a time. It hasn't let me down yet. Last edited by raven; 05-13-2008 at 10:55 PM. |
