Sorry, I am confused over what you are saying. But it seems that somehow your skin changes after first use? Maybe you need to go through the steps bimbam outlined:
Options > Skins... Then navigate to the skin you want to keep every time you open TCPMP (until you go through the same steps and navigate to some other skin).
