Re: Speech to text software?

Sorry you got your hopes up, but that also appears to be TEXT to SPEECH instead of the other way around :/

Re: Speech to text software?

I never priced it but unless I am hallucinating, it did indeed do voice to text. Heck, I had a flagship motorola flip phone (vrz) four or five years ago that would reliably dial by names or numbers given verbally. And you didn't have to put a voice input tag for each and every entry for it to work.

It had you say a sentence or two to learn your voice and always worked well for me.

Seems like I saw another thread here of other people that have used this same software, may be worth looking into and if you have priced it yet, how much is it?

Re: Speech to text software?

Here is the site for vlingo, click the link and sign up.

http://www.vlingo.com/vlingo/vv_unsupported.jsp

This software was excellent w Blackberry when I was forced to use one, and the more people to sign up looking for the WinMo software the quicker they'll release it. This was not simple voice compatibility with your preprogrammed contacts or commands - it was true voice recognition for dictating texts or emails.

Re: Speech to text software?

I think we should be a large enough community. The Windows Mobile genre shall not be ignored anymore!

BTW I registered there. If everyone can do that it would be amazing.

Re: Speech to text software?

I also registered at Vlingo. I love it on my BB, but I want something for WinMo. Downloading "Mobile Speak" now and will update on how it goes.

Re: Speech to text software?

Jott, just tried to sign into my old account and it took me to a new page. From what I can see, there is no longer any FREE version of Jott. Sucks as this was really handy. If you know otherwise, please let me know, but I couldn't find it anywhere.
