Ok, i dont like to down talk anyones software...But Jott sucks! The message takes like 5-10 min to get to the person and then they cant text back...lmao i cant believe people actually use this....AND PAY FOR IT!!!! Free? Uh no not for text to speech text messages.

Thats my review, now time to go put my head in a microwave for giving them $3 :violent2:

dallastx....where I agree with what you wrote, I just wanted to add that most of the reviews in here were done when it was free, and in a pinch, it was great for getting a quick text out while driving, not cor conversations, or casual texting. It has changed a lot on a short time, and eventhough I was one of the most optomistic reviewers in the beginning, I don't use it anymore because I agree with your estimation that it isn't worth paying for (still better than typing while driving in a pinch though LOL)!!! :-)

It's frustrating because my friend has a cheap free phone from Sprint and it can do this.

Yeah I'm having a hard time believing that nothing exists to do this. Microsoft's Live Search obviously uses some sort of voice engine to transcribe what you're saying into text, I wonder what that is if there is any application for it to use it as a standalone app.

What program is running on your friend's cheap phone?

Just curious!

I'd be happy with a speech based keyboard plug in that you select a la transcriber, even if I had to spell everything out ...

Vlingo does this great however it only works on the Blackberry OS. They have some info on their website stating they are working on a Winmo version. Once the BBerry OS can be run off my Fuze I know ill be using it ...i loved it on my curve. :disgust:

http://www.codefactory.es/en/purchase.asp?id=52

this works and does so on your phone

no compressing files, emailing them to a typist, or calling somebody's own speech to text computerized service

it works on your device with wm

as well as though it should

not easy to install, learn, and make work

I did the trial and did make it work but caused problems that are beyond my desire to find cures for since I am not sure exactly how to repair a missing registry entry on my phone
