i got vlingo to work with 6.5. I'm using DCD 1.08 rom that comes with a new 4 button option setting. i had to set it to the home button first (not home(hold))and that got me to complete the setup. i'm off to a BBQ now so i'll update here tomorrow. finally speech to txt on my Pro

I wish to have one, but it seems there may be some big hardware limitation to that. :) My thumbs up for that otherwise.

Re: Speech to text software?

so here's my little review of vlingo on my Pro

i really wanted voice to txt so i can send texts easily. vlingo definitely lets you speak texts but it is through there own interface. so that means it doesn't integrate with windows threaded sms. also it is taking long time for people to receive my text sent through vlingo. now email works really good. i only have one email address (gmail) and it works real good going through that. i don't use exchange or push mail so i can't comment on that. also vlingo cant send an email to more then one person at once. vlingo can open up some apps but not all. pretty much the ones that came with the phone, like the camera and the calendar.

i really can translate my voice to text very well, with very few mistakes. and the more i use it the better it should get. you cant use it to dictate in other application, say word and there's no copy and paste so you cant move the words you just said to where you really want them to be. i'm hoping that in the future this will change. over all vlingo is a great step forward and something that was a long time coming for window mobile.

I have Voice Command 1.6 on my Omnia i910. Am I able to text to speech with it, or do I still need to download an app for it? If I'm able to use it in text to speech, can someone guide me to as how I do it? :)--Thanks.

Tell me is being cooked in some 6.5.1 diamond roms (omj Sense) i used it for the first time yesterday and was pretty impressed. You have to open the app to access the service but once in it is only a few steps.
