Re: Benefits of Using HHC Customizer and UltimateLaunch together?

They are not really the same thing at all. Can't really compare them.

HHC customizes the look of one particular today plugin, the HTC home plugin.

Ultimate Launch allows you to place icons or other today plugins on your today screen, on multiple pages if you want.

I use both, I made HTC Home transparent and took away all the tabs except for the weather tab, using the HHC customizer. Then I used ultimate launch to place the HTC Home Plugin on the same page as the alternate clock plugin someone here made, along with some icons on the bottom.\

Exactly. And, if you make everything transparent, it will look like it does in my first post. When you first boot up your phone, the tab will be highlighted, but as soon as you select something else, it goes away and it will not be able to be highlighted again. So for the most part it looks pretty nice in my opinion. I like having the weather and a clock on screen at the same time.

Actually all the plugins are inside Ultimate launch. I did this for two resons. One, it keeps lines from appearing between the plugins, which I think look ugly. Two, it allows you to set ultimate launch as a fixed plug of type 5 in the registry, which keeps it from causing a scrollbar when horizontal. It makes switching back and forth very quick. Only drawback is that the bottom white icons don't appear on the horizontal screen, which doesnt matter to me.
