Re: iContacts 0.6 just released as well as source

Has anyone had problems with the Text Messaging notification sound sometimes not working after installing icontacts? It happened to me initially after installing icontacts, but after a soft reset it worked again. Since then I think it's happened one more time that my text message notification missed the sound ("Hey" from Portal), so I am not sure what the culprit is and if it will happen again.

there was another thread on this site that had the same problem - they installed icontact 0.6 and some of their notifications were gone. I don't know if iContact is causing this, and as of today there has been no solutions for it, but you should consider searching for that thread and keeping your eye on it.

**EDIT**
oh just kidding.... apparently you started that thread LOL.... my mistake.

lol i sure did. the problem seems to be the custom sound i was using with the notification since the default one works fine. still weird!

Re: iContacts 0.6 just released as well as source

i tried 0.7 and switched to the last build, 0.6. i dont like the scrolling in 0.7, when i take my finger off the screen it always opens up the contact i stop on..annoying. no ABC direct lookup either- you just have to scroll and thats annoying too. its other features and nice but not worth it to me

Re: iContacts 0.6 just released as well as source

Glad to see it in development.

It is one step forward (some minor enhancements) and two steps backward (ABC grid has been removed).

I still prefer 0.6 and look forward to future revisions.

Re: iContacts 0.6 just released as well as source

Just tried v0.7 and I agree with everyone else, I miss the ABC grid.

Immediately went back to v0.6
