"tether" battery advice

Hey folks,

I have a fantasy baseball draft coming up on Saturday and wanted to use my Mogul for internet access for my laptop.

What method of tethering or software would be best to keep a connection up for 6-8 hours?

I am mostly concerned with battery life. I can plug a charger in, but would WMwifiRouter .91 (or 1.00 for that matter) last that long even if charging. I have heard that the batter drains even when charging. I have also heard the same with USB ICS and Pdanet etc.

Opinions?

If you have a USB cable for ActiveSync and charging at the same time, no problem with PDAnet or ICS

I used WMWifiRouter for 7.5 hours straight while on AC power and there was no drain. By the time I was done the battery was still at 100%.
