can TCPMP 8 support choosing from more than one subtitles?

hi,,
1-
in TCPMP i renamed the subtitle to match the video's name....with an smi ext.
the smi subtitles played smoothly on my TCPMP ,,,
but i see in the subtitles menu ..a list like the DVD subtitles list
that suggest that i can load many languages and choose from between
how can i do that if there if ther is 1 file only
that can have the "movie's name".smi>>

+1 for me, i need to play music.

or does it not really matter? Since back light off, but screen on doesn't consume batteries?
