spb mobile shell as a ui replacement?

Hi again, very recently I was about to reinstall pointui but then I found spb mobile shell 2 and I absolutely love it. I love it so much that I would like to disable the today screen on my sprint touch so that spb mobile shell becomes the home interface. Right now I emulate this by simply removing all of the items off the today screen, if I hit the softkey to hide mobile shell it takes me to a blank today screen with just my background image, with the left and right softkeys mapped to take me back to mobile shell. Is it possible to do this? I would need the phone to boot directly into spb mobile shell, and to render the softkey that hides spb useless.

Also is it possible to also disable htc touchcube and htc task manager? They are nice but no longer needed.

Thanks

Re: spb mobile shell as a ui replacement?

Nevermind, I think I'll keep the today screen - I'll design a nifty image with the phone's name and some info about it and use it as an about screen/today background image. As for the touchcube, it wasn't difficult to disable, and there's no real point in turning off the htc start menu service.

Thanks anyway, to whoever didnt post a reply but would have had they read this.

you can disable the task manager by going in to system settings and playing around with its settings. i would give specific instructions but its been awhile since ive done that.

Re: spb mobile shell as a ui replacement?

I've got a really good task manager program which among many other things lets me set services (such as htcStartMenu which includes the htc task manager) to automatic or manual, just like desktop windows. Side effect of this method is it shrinks the start menu. No big deal really, I just wanted touchcube gone since it was redundant and I did that already. Thanks anyway.
