opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

i've been hearing a lot of good things about opera mobile 9.405, but i wonder if any of you find it better than opera mini 4 with the new esmeretic java... i have om4 and it's pretty stable and fast, i thought about possibly trying out opera mobile but i hear its a hassle to uninstall if i don't like it.. so what are yalls opinions on the two softwares? what are the pros an cons of each and which do you think a better browser overall

Re: opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

i used both mini and mobile 9.33 and 9.45.. mini 4 was far faster than opera mobile 9.33.. but since i installed Opera Mobile 9.405.. it is the best browser I've used yet.. the functions are far more superior to all other browsers.. (piscel, netfront, skyfire..) the only thing is the default settings are kinda wack.. you have to go to Opera:config and adjust the settings.. I also installed a moded QVGA skin for opera mobile with the transparent option tab.. works flawlessly.. i uninstalled opera mini ever since.. hope this helps you decide..

Re: opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

definattely opera mini 4 i have opera 9.405 on my touch and its slow and very bugged when it come to typing on a touch. 1 you are forced to use the hard to type with the qwerty which is bugged and you gotta hold down the backspace ...opera mobbile may be advanced only by a little but its bugged

Re: opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

agreed.. opera Mobile is still in development stages.. 9.45 is very much improved over 9.33.. be patient... give it some time.. Opera Mobile will definitely be the better browser..

I really like what they are doing with Opera Mobile. I agree with b16daddy with time mini will be a far better browser.

Re: opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

Mini is the better browser now. It's fast, accurate, and the zoomed/format is always correct. It also doesn't try to render on the fly, which improves my user experience. The server-side caching speeds the page loads as well. The bookmark synchronization is a feature I use a lot considering the frequency of my ROM upgrades. All in all, definitely Mini. Opera Mobile has a long ways to go...

Re: opera mini 4 or opera mobile 9.405?

alright so i went ahead an gave opera mobile a 2 day test run to see how it works compared to mini.. now it does have a lot of good things going for it, like the flick scroll and how it easy to manage.. but i have noticed a little bit of bugginess in it as well. over all, id say that mini is a better browser, mini renders its pages so much faster and is a lot less buggy. but i know mobile is still in its beta phases i do think that eventually it can potentially surpass mini in the long run.. ill keep my eyes on OM but for now, mini def seems to be the top choice browser at the moment
