Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

palringo is sweet... I have an older (probably cracked) version of IM+ and it was okay but extremely basic/boring. and it had its bugs but it got the job done... i downloaded palringo and i love it! keeper.

Are you sure that's true? Every time I exit the program it says "you will log out if you exit, are you sure you want to do that?"

If you have not installed some sort of "X" program (that REALLY closes a program when you hit X), you are just minimizing it to the taskbar. So it is still running and using the same amount of memory as if you had it up on your screen. The nice thing is that Palringo uses very little memory, so it's not so bad. But you definitely haven't exited the program by pressing X.

Unless your using a task manager specifically set to close on X, that just minimizies it

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

using the "x" program that came with my touch, htc task manager i think. have it set to "tapping x closes program"

palringo is closed. it doesn't show up in memory anywhere. but i can still message myself from another account on my computer. I get a "sms style" notification popup, that gives me the option to open palringo.

Re: Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Then Palringo is really not closed if you get the pop-up notification of a new message.

late,
