What about OctroTalk...?
Anyone have any experience with it?
I just installed it on my Mogul, will know after the weekend how I feel about it.

I'm not a fan of Octrotalk only because I use AIM and it has to go through GTalk...so I find it kind of annoying as it's really a workaround, not a native AIM app. IM+ is very good, but way overpriced, and I wouldn't buy it. Slick is the best one I've used. I love it. I'm using the free beta version. I would gladly pay for it (granted of course it doesn't turn out to be overpriced like IM+).

It is a matter of what features you want, the interface you like, and what your willing to spend.

Yes, Octrotalk was a large group favorite as IM's go, free. Most people put up with the interface and using Jabber and the Legacy accounts.

Palringo came out PTT and group chat and picture and voice the added limited IM support and most people stuck with it because of the versatality.

I own Agile, IM+,Mudu,Web Messenger, I also use Octrotalk, Palringo, & Slick. I have tried the rest and then cleaned them off my phone for space..

I've been using Octrotalk since June after trying most of the others. I love it.

I've completed my first day with Octrotalk and must say, so far,
I like it better than: Agile, IM+, Palringo, iMov, and VeriChat.

Arrow Instant Messaging -which one are you using?

Verichat was the best, as far as I know...but they are long gone/.

I am coming from a Palm OS, so dont know much about Windows Mobile IM..

Which program offers ALWAYS ON, background connection?

Thanks

I personally have been using Palringo. They have a nice feature that you can have it power save the data connection when you haven't used it in a while, but it's always on.
