-CC P.S. Lots of threads on "freezing phones" most having to do with UL and no fixes other than "do a hard reset".. I know there have to be more solutions, because there are many people that use UL.. |

Thanks, I tried without any plugins at all, only UL and without getting to configure it, on first boot, today screen already locked/frozen. I found out it's a bug, and may have something to do with activesync auto running. After flashing to 6.1 rom everything works fine.. -CC |

Re: Ultimate Launch
I'm glad it working for you. The activesync thing is the same thing I had happen when i corrupted my ini at the beginning as activsync would show up on the screen and it would just freeze. I was trying to update SBP PP from within UL and I realized that that caused the corruption. The only other program that did it to me was when I tried to integrate HTC Home which caused the same problem for UL when I tried to do anything to HTC.
I am guessing that the UL ini file was already FUBAR when you removed all of the plugins which is probably why you still go the same result even after you deactivated them in the UL Config. At any rate make sure and back up! Enjoy. |

No edits, no settings, no customizations, no nothing, brand spanking new. Try it, flash to stock 6.0 rom and install UL. Let me know the result. -CC |

Re: Ultimate Launch
I am having a different problem with UL, although I get absolutely no lockups, so I guess I am lucky. But the problem I am having is with my main UL today screen. I have it set up with the header on top, HTC Home in the middle, and some application icons on the bottom, (very similar to up2nogood's screen using his reflectorized icons.) The problem is that randomly the screen will adjust itself somehow and the scroll bar will appear on the right side as if the screen is too long for the actual touch screen. If I go to UL setup I can check off the Fixed Plug-In Height and set the pixels and it will correct temporarily and the scroll bar will disappear. But then randomly the scroll bar appears again and the screen is too long to fit. I then go to UL setup and disable the Fixed Plug-In Height and the problem will correct itself and the scroll bar disappears. But then it happens again. It is a cycle that I can not correct or figure out why it is happening. I know I probably didn't explain this very clearly but if anyone can make sense out of it and knows how to correct it permanently, please let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried to make the fixed plug-in height as big as possible. What I mean is increase it until you see the scroll bar, i.e. I set mine initially to 300 and got the scroll bar and eventually set it to 234 to get the scroll bar to disapear. Ron |

Re: Ultimate Launch
Need some help, and I figured I would try here before trying to contact Handango or the creator....
I downloaded the trial, loved it, so I bought the full version. First I entered my activation number and got the 'thank you' message. After soft reseting, I still have the on screen message about not activated. So, I uninstalled my trial and then reinstalled from the link that was sent from Handango. went through all the edits, and it still says I have not activated my software. I've entered my code numerous times, but it never takes my name up top. Anyone else have this issue? What do I do??? Thanks in advance. |

No you need to enter you name as the Owner of the device. Click on Start, Settings, Personal, Owner Information and then enter your registered user name there. That's what did it for me. |

Re: Ultimate Launch
I was just curious, is there anyway to get the separator lines (between icons/applictions) back into UL?
|
Re: Ultimate Launch
There are two separators in UL a vertical (Margin) and Horizontal (separator) The margins will put padding the Separator will put a line or block between sections. You can also add text so you could have something like "-----MEDIA------" dividing your UL items.

Re: Ultimate Launch
I was able to get it to install but now htc home the part with the clock and the tabs stays on the top. Have htc home set as my invisable tab so how do you get rid of or disable the one on top, downloaded the home customizer but not sure if thats what you use.
|
Re: Ultimate Launch
Do you have HTC Home in UL and as a seperate plugin? You need to disable HTC home as a today plugin and only have it in UL. If i remember correctly you might need to change a setting in home customizer to not force HTC home to the top. It can be done in the registry also. I am not positive that is required as I refuse to install HTC Home on my phone.
If you like the look of HTC home you can do much better by downloading and using BatteryStatus and the HTCHome theme that is somewhere in this thread. It gives you the clock and the notification area. If you make the UL tabs drop to the bottom you can even reproduce the look of the HTC Home tabs. Its much more configurable and much easier on the memory. |
Re: Ultimate Launch
Yes I have it as a separate plugin when I get to that tab on the cube it tells me that the plugin is already active, would like to keep it on one of the tabs untill I find something better just need to figure out how to disable it. ](*,)

Re: Ultimate Launch
Hallelujah finally got it to work just had to go to the today settings and disable home and UL then re-enable UL, but now HHC won't let me change any thing . Is there an easy fix for this or do I need to do a reinstall.
|
Re: Ultimate Launch
You shouldn't have to reinstall you probably need to configure it outside of UL though. Deactivate it in UL and reactive it as a today screen plugin make your changes and reverse the process. Then go get batterystatus and uninstall HTC Home :)

Re: Ultimate Launch

Re: Ultimate Launch
I use sk shortcut manager to find program locations. If you install it it comes with a trail and you can use it to see the details of all of your links. I looked at the calculator in the programs folder and it definitely says /windows/calculator.exe but if you choose to go to a link instead of the exe in ul just navigate to /windows/start menu/programs and create your icon pointing to the calculator shortcut in the porgrams folder.
I do not know of any free icon programs. Maybe someone else here does? I know you can use photoshop if you have that (not exactly cheaper but hey if you already have it) |
Re: Ultimate Launch

Re: Ultimate Launch
I enjoy parts of UL but its still insanely buggy to me. It still locks up a lot when embedding other plugins. Anybody find away around that iss:scratch:ue yet?
