Newb looking for a few things...

WOW, this place has changed! last time i was here the 6700 was the new kid! i then went to the 700wx, broke that and bought a 6800 2 days ago. heres what im after now...

1) iphone like contacts? ive tried:
iContacts - too boring and cant figure out how to add a new contact.
PocketCM/ with iphone skin - it didnt work well with my other apps and adding a new contact wasnt very easy.
funcontacts - using it now, so far the best i have found, adding a contact makes sense and its pretty fast (scrolling) but i cant close the app because it take a while to load, it does offer the feature or minimize, so it works...

are there any other ones out there to look into?

2) HTC home screen - Is there a way to mod this? i like it because it is a small app and runs well/ quick on my phone, what i would like to do is make the tab icons 2 rows adding 1 for a battery meter, 1 for calender (using today agenda in this field would be a major perk)... can it be done?

3) iphone like battery meter - (see number 2 for its need) but a meter that looks something like this:

and also displays a numerical value under it

4) any mac users? what do you guys use to sync your contacts/ calender?

1) Those are the only ones I know of.

2) I don't think those mods can be done. The more customizations are available through the HHC Customizer available on a thread on this forum, and these are different icons, tabs, etc., not more rows of icons.

3) Not sure exactly what to recommend here... I just know that that's a screenshot of Slide2Unlock.

4) Not me.

yeah, ive run the customizer and got it how i like, but it doesnt leave too much room for today agenda, so im looking to incorporate it some how.

my today screen so far looks like this:

im not going for an all out iPhone replacement but there some features i really like!

Have you tried a multi tab app on the Today screen?

Like Spb Mobile Shell or Spb Pocket Plus 4?

I used to have the HTC Today on the first tab along with my battery and memory metters and a second tab with Today Agenda.
