I'm doing the same thing, except implicitly calling a different shortcut inside the .lnk file (yes, you can do that).

No2chem, this is a really useful app, but it does place a lot of tiny info on the today screen. I like my today screen to be finger-friendly, and this app is just not. However, its rediculously useful as an app that I can call from my shortcuts list.
You should seriously consider making this a stand-alone app with a today screen option. Some people don't want it on the today screen.

I see from reading this thread that I'm not the only one who prefers this!
