I was using the data connection on my PC while it was connected. And that is a T1 line.

Never tested it like that friend. Try a strait wifi and see what happens.

the links work on my touch but i couldnt see anything on the page from the mobile ie. I had to guess which link is which based on looking from my desktop. weird, when i go on mobile ie from the touch the only thing that i can see is the 'shinystat' banner.

Now that is strange. It is as basic as a web page gets.. Literally all text/hyperlinks. Try clearing your cache and refreshing the page.
