You'll have to use a registry editor to make these changes. I use regedit ce because it suits my needs. It can be found here.

http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/regeditce.shtml

You'll have to open it up and follow the instructions to add the required values

Go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Pointui\Pointui.Home\1.01b

Select Options > New Value > New String

In Value Name type App.Email.StoreName

In Value Data type your email accounts name VERBATIM.

I hope this helps. These same instructions can be used for Media Player, Screen Lock Utility, Tasks & Calender Utility, & Phone Dialer. Just use the requird Value Names with the appropriate .exe's.

No, not really. I've never done it. I just gave you the instructions from the PointUI website. If that's not enough, you should probably join their forum and ask your question there.

Lately I been running this program on my mogul for the past week and everything works fine and i love the new interface but ever since i installed it there seems to be some constant data connection that is running in the background. I've double checked the task manager and it says that there are no programs running except for pointui. I was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue.

You have to uninstall from inside their program. Here is a thread from their forums on it.

It's not bad, but I have a few minor annoyances. First there is no easy way in the menu to disable the data connection, I have to fire up the comm manager to do that. It also doesn't respond to holding down the IE key to do this. It doesn't have a short cut to contacts on the main page, which would also be very useful. Other then that it is slick and not bad for doing things with a few extra steps and no stylus, but I have gotten pretty good at using my joystick to navigate one handed and don't think I'll be installing it after my latest flash.

Remind me never to let you beta test anything I'm responsible for.

Give em a break already! The speed of the ui is far and above anything else comprable. Sure it still needs some work, but lets not go defaming a product that is still being developed.

well there was clearly organized publicity surrounding this and the product should have been ready by the countdown and the version number. i'm sure it'll be a good product but i can realize it's possible for someone to be disappointed...sure he was hard but people spend alot of time setting up and configuring their ppcs and are going to be defensive if things go wrong...

whats all the argument over this? its shitty its crap? does your mogul run faster without it? slide through different screens so quickly?
by far this is the quickest interface the mogul has seen.
no doubt they have to fix some bugs but all in all when there fixed , this program will be very popular. possibly not even free anymore.

beggers cant be choosers just an fyi...if your gunna bash something make something better or dont use it. not too hard.

developers put days upon days of work into these interfaces/programs they should get props and not get bashed.

just my opinion

jened - theres no reason for anyone to be defensive...its free...an easy uninstall if you can read and leaves no traces on your mogul.....what could go wrong? theres no excuse....flash a rom and have a power failure halfway though....thats a reason to get pissed

1/2 bottle of wild turkey and half a dutch = honesty =)
