The ONLY two contact apps I can find and like are fingerfriendlyfriends and the contact manager in spb mobile shell.
fingerfriendly may not DISPLAY immediately but if you type your search as soon as it opens, by the time you input 3 characters it has already searched and displayed your contacts, so it's a fluid and effective loading time. Of course unless it just loads faster on mine?  updates are constantly released...
