Task Managers that work? (RAM leak)

I'm currently using Task Manager 2.0 (unknown make, came from www.pocketpcfreeware.net), and I'm experiencing a memory leak, and my RAM usage creeps up from about 55%-70% over the course of a day, after closing programs. I'm not sure if this is WM6 or TM2.0 related.

What I'm guessing is that when I close programs out using the TM2.0, kernels of data are remaing in the RAM, and sucking up the little bit of precious RAM there is, thus slowing my device down. I could be wrong, but that seems the most logical, (other than my tipical blame Microsoft attitude).

My questions to the forum are, (you knew it was coming eventually): Are any of you experiencing the same issues, and what are the recomendations for Task Managers that work?

I should mention that I'm using the HTC TM. Any suggestions at all for the memory leak problem?

I'm using qmenu. It has a task manager built in and a few other items like drop down menus and a hibernate program which releases some of the cached data in memory.

Do you notice any memory leaking, or your RAM usage creeping up over the course of a day?

you might try sktools lite, oxios, or memmaid. the latter of which has a free trial, but you have to pay for i believe. what i did is put oxios close apps, oxios hibernate, and freeupram (from sktl) in my launcher. if i notice my phone getting a little slow, i hit close apps, hibernate, freeupram. i've gone from like 8 - 16 doing that. not perfect, but it does the trick. Takes an extra 10 seconds out of your day, you know.

I use Quickmenu, it has a small memory footprint, it's fast, and I've yet to see any kind of memory leak using it.

Where can I find Quickmenu? I'll try both suggestions out, and see which one works best for me.

i find that wktask with the oxios duo of programs really clears up my memory making my device still usable without soft reseting during the day

Thanks for the heads up! I went back and checked, the TM that I'm using is the TNT TM 2.0 (clone of the HTC version I suppose?). I'm going to try each option over the course of the next week to see which one works best!

Thanks again!
