Opera Mini: How to display full websites only?

I'm using Opera mini on my Touch and love it. However, when I visit certain sites (cnn, seattletimes), it automatically loads the mobile site instead of the full site. How can I force it to load the full site? I thought I had read the that phone identifies itself as mobile and the website automatically routes it to the mobile site. Is there a setting I can change to get the full one every time?

I believe you have to go into the settings and uncheck Mobile. Try that.

I'm familiar with the 'mobile' setting within opera. Mine is unchecked so it'll display the full site. This is a slightly different problem. For example, if I enter www.cnn.com, I willbe automatically forwared to cnnmobile.com. I can't figure out how to view the regular cnn.

There's a huge thread about it over on Opera's website, but the short answer is there's nothing you can do about it. CNN and alot of other places are singling out Opera Mini and forcing it to their mobile site.

It's stupid, I know as that defeats the entire purpose of Opera Mini, the Opera staff have tried and contacted the webmasters, but so far no luck.

That doesn't do anything, all that changes is the way the site is formated for your phone, but if you are being sent to a mobile site, that setting won't fix anything.

Only sure way is a registry hack, I know there is one out there for IE, and I seem to remember seeing on for Opera as well but I may be wrong...

BTW Welcome to PPC Geeks.com

That won't work either, Opera Mini runs via a proxy server, so everything is done on the server end of things.

Well for security reasons Opera won't give out the exact location of the servers other then the servers are located in Norway (which is Opera's HQ's)

Hey....I downloaded Opera onto my Touch and it is definitely nicer than the crappy standard browser. My only concern are....fees. Sprint won't come up with some cooky charge for this will they? Will Opera? It did not indicate anywhere that this cost moneyand I just want to be sure.

BTW,......what other cool free apps are there for this phone? Especially free ones?!? I intend on making this phone do as much I CAN MAKE IT DO. Thanks.
