Outlook e-mail/contact problem

I am not sure what has happened but I am really frustrated with Outlook right now. I am working with my corporate exchange server so i am constantly typing e-mails. I am not sure what has changed but originally I was able to start typing in the "TO: " to address an e-mail from the contacts in my phone and have a drop down to select the proper contact...now i have nothing and I have to "Add Recipient" which is terrible when I am on the go. What setting have I lost that is causing this issue? There is no reason for this to work one moment and stop the next with nothing new installed on it. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I have a Samsung I760 any ROM Development in progress at this point to unlock the possibilites of this phone?
