How is that considering regular mobi tv does not have NFL Network, MTV, etc? They are through the same vendor but that content is provided exclusively for sprint tv by mobi tv. I have 3 other versions of mobi tv and at&t's mobi has the most channels out of all of them and I still prefer sprint tv. As far as "stealing" from sprint. Most of us are not "stealing" we pay for sprint tv in our vision packages and aren't allowed to view it? That is stealing from us.

I agree fully about not stealing services or cars, as a photographer I respect others copyrights like I would want them to respect mine (and cars). However...

As part of the Vision service plan we are already paying for the basic Sprint TV channels. When I switched to Sprint I too was misled into believing the two main complaints of many of those with Moguls, that I would be able to use Sprint TV, and have a GPS in my pocket. After getting my Mogul and finding out neither of these features would work, I was livid. I'm glad to see that Sprint and HTC are finally making the GPS a reality (if they hold true to their word), and now that the Touch has Sprint TV I can't imagine Sprint not making a version for the Mogul and other PPCs. Yes, I did look at MobiTV, which is where Sprint gets there TV channels from. But I have a problem with paying Sprint for TV channels I can't use, then paying MobiTV for the same channels AGAIN when I should just be able to use the Sprint TV channels I'm already paying for! How insane is it that a (relatively speaking) very simple device like a phone can have Sprint TV yet a nearly full featured computer can't (ditto on the GPS)?

Now whether or not there are some rules being broken in respect to modifying the Touch Sprint TV files in order to get it to work on Mogul, there very well may be some issues with that...but we are not stealing the services that we are already paying for (at least, those of us with Vision services).

Ah, thank you for bringing this up.

I too am an Ultimate subscriber. However look closely at this thread and the other closed thread....

we are the minority.

Many (not all) of the comments are blatantly from people who are on other carriers or wish to get it without paying for the service.

Personally i dont see anything i would miss on Mobi compared to STV, and you get some additional channels not available on STV not to mention tech support and the comfort in knowing that its going to work

oh dont forget the XM radio options - MobiTV rocks with XM.

I concur. I have the Sero plan which has access to Power Vision-Where the Hell is our Power. We buy the most expensive phone from Sprint and receive the lease service and access, and what's worst, the service is part of my bill.

Anyway, I was unable to uninstall Sprint TV, cooked into the new Rom, so I installed the Cab in main memory, hoping it would overwrite the program in the rom. I then deleted the cache folder and pasted the Cache folder recommnded and I still recieve the unauthorized error. Do I have to Reflash in the kitchen to uninstall Sprint TV?

There was a link somewhere here that allows a person to use the trial mobitv but overwrites the 3 day trial. There was also a zip that had NFL network in the same forum. I believe it was at XDA forum.

Also, I purchased a Slingbox Solo from Best buy and I told the guy that I wanted to stream from home to my PPC. He told me that all the software needed to stream to my phone was included with the 179.00 price tag. Obviously, that is not true. Now I find out that they want another $30 for that ability. Is there a cab that will allow me to stream to my Solo?

Since I am on a roll, is there a cab or link, I think it's Sirius 5, that allows a person to listen for free. I see XM sites all over that allow free access. I have a paid subscription to XM so if sirius subscribers can listen to XM for free, why can't I listen to Sirius-besides they just merged so....

I just tried that, but it says that I have 3 days left to use the trial service. Will it countdown every 3 days and reset, or did I install this incorrectly?

The MobiTV is a 3 day trial, but it resets itself, so you'll still see the popup bocks. I suppose one could go in and try to remove that from happening.

The cache work around works in 2.17. I just tried it out a few min ago and also last night. Unfortunately if you happen to wonder too far and try a channel that doesn't work it says "This channel is currently unavailable (7000)" or something like that then re-checks the subscriptions. Once this happens it wont display channels anymore. The key is stopping it from rechecking/updating the cache folder/subscriptions. Perhaps it can be re-engineered to block this. Or If someone keeps developing and updating the cache folder perhaps we can have one that shows only channels that will work continuously or something.

I went back in a deleted the cache folder and replaced it again and it worked. It's a pain to have to do this after almost every time you use it heh. It was working fine until I tried some channels that weren't showing.
