Is there a web calendar sync for WM that just works ?

I want to be able to sync my calendar and tasks to web client which can be accessed by another computer. I'd prefer syncing to Google calendar but I'd take any other free service (MS Live or something).

Microsoft My Phone - syncs fine, wouldn't show recurring appointments.

Google Sync (via AS) - doesn't work

OggSync (freeware version) - attempts to create a separate calendar for every single category, misses appointments, very unreliable

Is tere a sync solution - preferably free - that just works ?

http://www.nuevasync.com

I've used it for years with zero problems. It will require your sole activsync account on your phone but other than that it's been great.

SyncML + other wide open standards, interoperability with all kinds of devices and applications. There is a free version, but it has a limit on the number of records - I've been a paid subscriber since the time that I had a Treo (PalmOS) - that site made migrating my data a no-brainer.

Re: Is there a web calendar sync for WM that just works ?

Google Sync works good (AS) if you have only one calender.

OggSync (pro) works good for me for the past 18+ months. I manually sync once per day to 4 google calendars. I no longer use it for contacts as WindowsLive is the best contact solution imho. I wouldn't run it at startup or automatically as it's resource hog

Tasks I don't deal with - I use calendar instead

Try GooSync.

Hopefully Wave4 Windows Live will finally bring WL Calender sync, especially since it will support Exchange/ActiveSync protocols.

FINALLY! - with Windows Phone 7 Series... we are taking accountability for the entire experience. That means you will not see layers, like HTC Sense or TouchFLO built on top of the UI by OEMs or MOs (mobile operators). - Aaron Woodman, Microsoft Director of Consumer Experiences

I use goosync, I have the paid version so I am able to sync as many calendars as I want, I also use it to sync my contacts, it works great, I have it set to auto sync so I don't have to worry about my wife making an appointment for me and my not knowing about it when on the road, I tried oggsync, I realy liked it for syncing calendars, but it was slow as tar for the contacts.

Re: Is there a web calendar sync for WM that just works ?

I don't realy notice any more drain then normal, I have a Samsung Intrepid, I have Goosync, and GPStoday running all the time and I can go two days before charging, when I had my Touch I also used Goosync and never realy noticed less battery life, but now that I think about it I did have the large extended battery so maybe I'm not realy the guy to ask
I have it set up to sync every half hour, but it realy only takes a few seconds to sync calendars and contacts, I have about 200 contacts give or take, you can set it up to only sync durring certian hours, and on certian days so it doesn't run all the time.
I hope this helps.

just as a suggestion you might try https://www.forge.funambol.org/DomainHome.html . They have a web portal that can be synched to your desktop (Outlook, Thunderbird/Lightning, etc).
