I believe that you'll need an internet or wi-fi connection to be able to get Google Maps to work. Sorry!
Before I used Google Maps I used Microsoft Streets and Trips. With this software you download maps from your PC, it doesn't need an Internet or wi-fi connection. It is also GPS capable. See if that one will work for you. Good luck! Dave |

thats were tomtom or garminxt comes in. i have garminxt as backup for areas w no data coverage....but use gm as primary.
