No luck looking for media player

What is a good player for WinMo6.5? I've got a Sprint HTC TP2 and want to play different video file types and for some reason I cannot get WMP to play things like avi files. I may just be having problems getting them onto the phone. I'm still new to this stuff sort of.

Before, with my Axim, AS4 would just send and convert the files for me. Now I can't seem to get it to convert so I have to just copy and paste over to my SD card on the phone.

What am I doing wrong and what can I use to play the files with? I've tried searching but I keep coming up empty.

Thank You

Re: No luck looking for media player

I use coreplayer which is pretty nice (though not free). And tcpmp is also very capable and free. Both are much better than wmp in my opinion.

Re: No luck looking for media player

Thanks I had forgotten about TCPmp. After I figured out how to get the AS program to convert my media I pretty much forgot about the different players out there. Now with Windows 7 and the new way it syncs, I'm having to relearn everything.

Re: No luck looking for media player

Wierd issue, for some reason I can't seem to get TCPmp to install properly.`Every time I install it and try to run, it crashes. I'm using the 0.72rc1 version as it's the only one I've found online. AM I just not using the latest version?

Latest is RC2, and it is back into development by bimbam69, who has made it - get this - skinnable! Just follow his instructions in 1st post. Then, choose a skin, like one of those starting on page 29 of thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636423

I coded my own, but it's for QVGA (240x320):

Hope this helps, MrG

Re: No luck looking for media player

Thanks. No matter where I looked all I could find was the RC1.

I appreciate it very much.
