Re: Facebook App for windows mobile
Also, Blackberry has a really awesome Facebook app. Seem WM is very neglected.

Yes, this is why people are leaving it in droves. Since WM7 looks like a Iphone clone, I'll pass.
MS screwed up when they thought that their way of wrong and Iphones was right. Android proves people can have some control over their devices yet, they still are plenty functional.

Re: Facebook App for windows mobile
I've noticed with the stock FB app that if I look at someone's wall, and they've made a post that got more than one comment...I can only see the last comment.
Anyone else notice this? |

Re: Facebook App for windows mobile
I find the MS FB app useful. I think iPhone has the only FB app made by FB, the rest are made by RIM, Androind, MS, or third party developers. The one thing I don't like about the MS FB app is that everytime I install it, my status changes to "...just installed Facebook for Windows Mobile." It's annoying and I wish I could change that (or maybe I can and I just don't know how).

There are a number of limitations to the WM FB app; I can't describe them all but I agree they are frustrating. I think the core of this is that WM is a less viable platform for development than iPhone, Android and BB to begin with (in terms of making money and earning market share); couple that with Microsoft's focus on Windows 7 Phone and you have a "why should we care" attitude toward anything that is available right now. I've spoken to developers who are working on apps for the 3 major platforms here in the States and when I mention Windows Mobile they just laugh. Doesn't make it right, but if you haven't invested heavily in a WM user base in the past (PocketShield, SPB, etc.) why bother now. |
