Facebook App for windows mobile

why is our facebook application so foolishly designed as compared to the iPhone and Android devices?:angry7:

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)

I wonder that myself sometimes.
not a big fan of m.facebook.com either.
wish I had an answer for ya but not an expert in why people do the things they do.
I can suggest trying www.touch.facebook.com.
it works for me

Agreed, what's wrong with it?

I've noticed with the stock FB app that if I look at someone's wall, and they've made a post that got more than one comment...I can only see the last comment.

Anyone else notice this?

I find the MS FB app useful. I think iPhone has the only FB app made by FB, the rest are made by RIM, Androind, MS, or third party developers. The one thing I don't like about the MS FB app is that everytime I install it, my status changes to "...just installed Facebook for Windows Mobile." It's annoying and I wish I could change that (or maybe I can and I just don't know how).

You can delete that status update on your wall, but as with many things on FB you probably can't do it from the WM version. On a PC, just mouse over that status update, mouse to the right and the word "Remove" will show up. Click "remove" and that item will be removed. I've done this a number of times.

There are a number of limitations to the WM FB app; I can't describe them all but I agree they are frustrating.

I think the core of this is that WM is a less viable platform for development than iPhone, Android and BB to begin with (in terms of making money and earning market share); couple that with Microsoft's focus on Windows 7 Phone and you have a "why should we care" attitude toward anything that is available right now. I've spoken to developers who are working on apps for the 3 major platforms here in the States and when I mention Windows Mobile they just laugh. Doesn't make it right, but if you haven't invested heavily in a WM user base in the past (PocketShield, SPB, etc.) why bother now.

Thanks and good point. WM 6.X is dying, quickly. I love my TP2 but I can only enjoy yesterday's technology for so long before I start to feel left behind. Not to get off topic, but I will likely buy an EVO and a WP7 phone this year.
