Is there a way to change the icon from the emulator one to a gmail-style icon?

I ask because I don't know.

Short answer, yes you can do that.

Long answer...not sure how or rather, it's an involved process.

When I get a chance I'll see if I can look into it.

Thanks Malatesta. It's just one of those things I guess. I hate sites that don't have favicons and I like all my icons to be unique.. Maybe I should learn myself..

I'll take you up on that but I'll give you a HUGE hint. Hopefully it works.

Post back here if you get success:

Thanks, this works great on the TyTn.
Also found Google Earth at this location:

Only problem is this version of Java does not support jpegs, so you cant display sat images.

OK, stupid question. I thought I had it loaded right, but now its not doing anything.

What files do I delete in order to get rid of this, so I can install in again from scratch? Re-installing hasn't worked, so I might as well as remove it and start clean and clear.

you just need to delete those two folders I imagine: bin and lib

I know what you are talking about though where it just "stops working" but I recently reinstalled with the 11/17 version and so far, so good.

Can you tell me what the shortcut needs to read if I want to directly run a shortcut to the Gmail application on a Treo 750v?

It seems that the syntax above is for a different handheld?

No, I cannot tell you that b/c that is the right syntax.

It is certainly not device-specific, what makes you think that?

I mean did you even try it?

I'll try it again...maybe I mistyped it. I figured the XJam was a different PDA!
