It's not really unprofessionalism. It's bad marketing.

Microsoft doesn't advertise to make Windows Mobile relevent. Software developers don't think anyone uses Windows Mobile for anything except Outlook email. Buisness people don't need social networking, they don't need IM, they don't need fancy apps.

Iphones and android are used by hip people who need and will pay for those applications.

I hope to god Microsoft markets WM7 as seriously as Apple markets Iphone OS.
