when you install is it will be under programs see the screenshot, when you open the image it wont open with HTC album instead it will open with pictures & videos program in mogul, you can either link the program to a button or add it to a launcher, everytime you open it it will show you all the pictures you have in your document under my pictures, there is another way to open the picture from the actual file, if you have resco explorer, press in the picture you are willing to open and ull see the popup screen open and open with just like a computer when you right click on the file. choose open with and look for \windows\HTCAlbum.exe and then it will open with HTC camera album, next time when you will do the same thing you dont have to link it anymore, you press in the desired image and HTCAlbum will be listed under pictures & videos.

I just updated the 1st post with portrait mode shortcut made by the original author JUVS and closed application registry tweak instead of minimize to save your memory.

If you launch with that shortcut, you will be locked in portrait mode. If you launch directly from the exe (\Windows\HTCAlbum.exe), the album will detect your orientation and launch appropriately.

To modify HTC Home Launcher for this, go to:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\HTCHome\Launcher\(album icon position number)
Change Path to \Windows\HTCAlbum.exe

Thank you for the info, but did you check the zip file I posted in the 1st post? if you open the shortcut, this what it shows 21#\Windows\HTCAlbum.exe -mode: picture -type:image so basically the shortcut made to access the .exe from the launcher or programs menu.

Yes, JUVS found two options for the shortcut:

-mode: picture (portrait)
-mode: camera (landscape)

As far as I know, there is no -mode: automatic. But I found that if you launch or link directly to the .exe (not using a shortcut), the album opens in the orientation you're in.

Well again the shortcut I posted is the Cameraalbum.exe direct shortcut, you replace the one you have in \windows\start menu and it will do, when you are in landscape mode it will open as landscape if you are in portrait mode it will open in portrait.
