I wouldn't think it too hard to enable DashWire to automatically check for self-updates, and if it detects one during a sync, pop-up a message on the PPC stating there is an updated/newer version of DashWire released and asking if we want to update/download now? That would be quicker, easier, and allow people to KNOW they are on a current version!!
+1 for this idea

Shouldn't have to - they should include an import function, it should be easy.

Thanks for backing me up. Dashwire cannot restore texts, call logs, photos, etc.

I'm sorry, I wish I could explain it better, but the very quote you used defeats your point!!

End of this issue, anybody else have anything they want to discuss about DashWire?

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

without adding to all the hype, a few have said there is a way to sync txt msgs back to the phone, and a few have said there is no way, I haven't been able to find a way, would like to, but have not been able..

for the few who have been able to sync txt msgs back to the phone, can you tell us how you did it..

oh, on wm 6.1

thanks

But most of our users can sync all of their content even with 6.1 (we think it might be a narrow issue that has to do with certain phones).

As long as you go into settings and chose information to sync, making sure SMS is checked, it should be automatic.

As DashWire mentioned though, I guess they still have glitches with WM6.1, my best suggestion (not being a programmer) would be to write an email to their support staff here:http://dashwire.com/help/feedback

also, include all the info about phone model, OS, the problem, and there is even a way to attach your log file onto the email (found in the DashWire program folder).

Sorry I can't give a better answer, I hope they fix that glitch for you (and me, hopefully I'll be 6.1 soon LOL)!!

Re: Dashwire 2.0 (Updated 6/24/08)

actually looking back at a few posts, they clearly say it doesn't put the txt msgs back on your phone..

so it's not a glitch..

phone to dashwire works great, just as they claim

Yes, it's mostly a one-way sync, like I was saying earlier.

I think hippity is hung on semantics, and likes stirring up a bit of trouble.
