SPB Mobile Shell will map softkeys, and in fact that's the only reason I have it installed. It not only allows you to reset the softkeys to other programs on the phone, but to settings that are contained within mobile shell.

You can map a softkey to Lock your device. That's the sole reason I have it installed. If I could find another way to map a softkey to lock my device, I'd uninstall it.

Go to this thread it will change softkeys and much more and easier to use than the app I commented on above.
