kashis32,

I tried this in the i760 ... it didn't turn into a brick ... unfortuately I was tweaking way to much and had other issues going on at the same time (I think my weather panel install was draining the battery, trying to update teh Satillite images).

I removed the hacks ... have been making sure the battery stays stable before replacing the hacks ...

Try it (Back up your registry FIRST) it won't brick you. I'll have mine reinstalled probably 5 minutes after this post.

Weatherpanel has been the battery-drain culprit for a few months or so........they need somebody to work on the program. It's the best weather application out there but needs some fixes.

I have the At&T Tilt and have pretty poor battery life (even with light usage). But I can't figure this tweak out.

I can get the program installed on my computer (via the ActiveSync option) but can't figure out how to then get it on my PPC.

Can anyone help. I did read the thread before asking. It's just that I put the IT in idiot.

I have the same phone. Where did you go to make those changes and or what program did you use? I have to charge my phone at least 2 times a day to last me till I get home and thats only texting people and having my e-mails pushed to me. Not so much talking on it or going online. Thanks

I admit I haven't read through all 10 pages of posts, but if it hasn't been mentioned, having ActiveSync's DirectPush feature on as well as Windows Live syncing all the time can also take a heavy toll on battery life.

Unless you really need emails instantly, I would recommend setting it to something like every hour or couple hours.

Use a registry editor to make the changes. Search the forums. Its pretty simple. I use SOTI Pocket Controller Pro. Enjoy!

Did the tweak on my Verizon X6700 and so far so good. After charging it it lost 10% after all day long with infrequent use. We'll see how long it goes between charging. Thanks for the tweak info ! ! !

Talking no longer lurking noob, results

I am on my second full day, without a charge, since the reg edit! I still have 40% on the battery meter. I talked on the phone a total of 56 minutes (mostly in evdo but on the road in the country so it did switch a bit i am sure) and surfed the forum(s) at least 45 minutes on cell signal and read the news on On demand the 3 times I "sat down" this is over 2x normal battery life during my normal usage and I still have 40%!!!!!!! I cant believe how well this worked..... I just hope that no damage or life span shortness comes of it......
