OK something crazy just happened. I did not do this I swear but it happened. I created the two volume entries that were not there but deleted them before I even closed the registry. I did all the other tweaks. When I reset I noticed bluetooth not working. I rechecked the registry and under device, there is nothing! I know I did not delete it but its gone and now bluetooth does not work. Like a retard I made no registry backup first.
EDIT - Works after uninstaling voice command. Last edited by sfetaz; 09-06-2007 at 10:14 AM. |

and one post says specifically not to add these keys if you do not have them. |

Sorry if this was not clear, I posted the original thread for hack numbers 5 and 6, speaker and mic volume. I changed these to 10 on my mogul (6800) and it improved both volume on my end (speaker) and for callers (mic).

I was just suggesting that some of the hacks might affect settings in Microsoft's Voice Command software if it was installed. Also, older stock ROMS might not have the folders or settings in the registry. I noticed that with my original Verizon stock ROM, I did not have most of these keys. When I upgraded to other ROMS they started to appear.

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\Mic Volume HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\Spk Volume So they are not "native" to ROM 2.09. Some application or other activity has added them to your phone. And just to see what effect they might have, I added "Spk Volume" to the AudioGateway section of my registry. I tested my bluetooth headset with the setting at "1" and again with it at "10", and I could detect no difference in level at all between the two. My calls sounded exactly the same as when I had no entry there at all. So I don't know what those entries do in your phone, but it's quite clear that they don't have any impact on the bluetooth call volume in mine. You may want to do some additional testing.
