Disable SMS Recieved Notification

Is it possible to disable the SMS recieved notification pop-up? I am usingh a program that this slightly interferes with my personal configuration and would like the option to disable/enable as with SMS Sent. Thanks!

P.S. Without installing a 3rd party app such as PhoneAlarm...
