There is a thread on how to do this in this forum. I found it by searching for "battery icon taskbar delete". However, I don't believe on most machines that you will be able to do anything with the space previously occupied by the battery icon.

You're right; I also have a Treo 700wx. When I tried this tweak (by adding the appropriate registry entry), it actually created a second battery icon (rather than removing it).
You could use Wisbar Advanced, though. It will allow you to completely customize the taskbar and remove whichever icons you don't want displayed. |
