Disbale battery icon in task bar.

Guys,

Simple task. I searched for a good twenty minutes reading prior topics. Is it possible to hide/disable the battery notification icon in the task bar? I use SPB mobile shell which already has a battery indicator, as well as Batti. I find no use for that icon and would rather find an application to place the date in that area. Thanks.

-Reako

EDIT: Let me provide that I am working on a 700wx.

There is a thread on how to do this in this forum. I found it by searching for "battery icon taskbar delete". However, I don't believe on most machines that you will be able to do anything with the space previously occupied by the battery icon.

Yes I saw that thread and explored a little. But I do not have a powers folder labeled under the Settings folder. I think my device is incompatible with that tweak.

You're right; I also have a Treo 700wx. When I tried this tweak (by adding the appropriate registry entry), it actually created a second battery icon (rather than removing it).

You could use Wisbar Advanced, though. It will allow you to completely customize the taskbar and remove whichever icons you don't want displayed.

I would use that, but I do not want any skins regarding WA. It changes the entire look of the Today Screen. I have mine so smooth and clean rite now, that is my only personal flaw, the battery icon.
