XV6800/Mogul/Titan Help

I have a vzw 6800 and just downloaded their new Rom for it. it has WM 6.1, but the texting speed is still delayed. I heard that I should download DCDs rom, which I plan on doing but I can't figure out how to. I'm new a these things haha. when i start the process, it says after a minute that it can't connect to my usb, even though my phone is connect to my computer. Please someone help!!!

You have to unlock the phone first.

Dcd's roms are great as well as no2chems. Its really a personally preference which people use. If you are new to flashing etc. I would recommend using the ppckitchen for its ease of use. And since your on verizon its a little less involved.

But the most important thing that you could know is DONT let the sprint customizations run.
