re: Disable Volume Control Button
Gotcha covered, ALMOST anyway. Go to Start>Settings>Personal>Buttons. Navigate to up/down control, and adjust the "Delay before first repeat" all the way to the right, to "Long". Adjust your "Repeat rate" all the way to the left, to slow. Your volume slider will not repeat. Any time you hit the volume slider, it'll only adjust it one notch at a time. You'll have to repeatedly hit the slider button to adjust the volume up or down. I'll dig and get back to you, if this isn't good enough I'm positive there's a registry hack that'll disable it completely, but I'm not sure it'd be necessary after trying this method first. Merry Christmas!

is there any way to disable just the sound, the sound it makes when adjusting ring volume and switching to vibrate or ringer off mode...
